My own rendition of the Gundam Epyon which, as you can see, is still incomplete.

My original plan was to store the beam sword in the right skirt armor but it's too big. I don't want the skirts to be any more bigger than this so I'll have to put it somewhere else. The bottom part of the backpack seems to be a good choice.

I'm still deciding whether or not to add the fins on the sides of the legs. What do you guys think?

On each foot is an extra armor plate that slides back to cover the ankle joint when in MA mode. The lower half of the leg also slides forward.

I won't explain the method of transformation in the hips, it's kinda complicated. ^^; I hope you guys understand.

Various IRL activities will greatly hamper the progress of this project (I'm working on this for more than 3 months now) but I'm hoping that I'll finish this not later than Christmas, and that's an optimistic estimate.

Thanks for viewing!

I started modelling a gundam....I don't know how you do it, it's harder than it looks. Guess having some gunpla on hand would help alot.

It does. It's a good reference material especially when it comes to planning out the robot's articulation.

The transformation mechanism seems evident and convincing enough.
I kind of want to see a full body shot, and perhaps a transformation vid.

I like doing custom edits on my models as well I guess its actually better this way cause only people who are really into gundam will they notice I guess, if even...

PS~ I am thinking about buying zbrush that post I sent you about that person on youtube, you gotta admit he made your model really stand out I think it will help make models look allot better.

Yeah, I'll admit that too XD. The small details added were definitely done in ZBrush but the textures were in Lightwave.

really? I want to texture so badly but I cant for the life of me. Trying to UV unwrap is the hardest thing I have come across.

Zbrush does have it's own texturing tool but in the video I'm pretty sure he used Lightwave.

It didn't hit me until now. The back skirt is supposed to be the same color as the grey parts on the legs
