I did it in PS by making two layers. The bottom is the rendered image and top part are the outlines.

Really nice. I think the simplicity of the rifle kinda brings the piece down, but from what I can see of the mech, he's very well modeled. Great work!

Are you familiar with Max or Maya. As someone who uses SketchUp, I know it can only do so much. Eventually, you reach a point where you can't get anything more out of it.
